S355J0W is a structural weathering steel grade as per EN 10025-5, engineered to deliver long-term resistance to atmospheric corrosion. The alloying elements — particularly copper, chromium, and nickel — enable the steel to develop a protective oxide layer, or patina, that acts as a shield against further oxidation. This property eliminates the need for painting in most environments, reducing lifetime maintenance costs.

With a minimum impact energy of 27J at 0°C, S355J0W is suitable for moderate outdoor climates and structural applications exposed to weather fluctuations.
